The Cary News today, at www.carynews.com/2013/06/05/2941134/cary-library-could-land-in-downtown.html mentions: "Cary leaders are thinking less of a recreational park than a carefully designed common ground filled with “hidden treasures” and framed by what would be the largest buildings in downtown. “It’s active in a limited way – I don’t know, a very urban way,” said Councilwoman Jennifer Robinson. She said she doesn’t want to see sand volleyball, but something more akin to Parisian ponds for model sailboats." Has anyone investigated or summarized the usage of model sailboats in the area? Need to know what demo, etc. this appeals to. My only experience viewing such model vessels was many years ago over at the small pond behind the Heritage Pines (over-55 community) clubhouse. This opportunity area is on very expensive land, already off the tax rolls. BTW, Google is stumped as to what "Parisian ponds" are.
