I hope the kickoff will provide opportunity for Cary residents to express their wishes and vision, and not be just away for a few people from out of town to tell us what they want us to want.

Has anyone read the questions that will be posed to the audience? I am afraid that the forum will be used to shove answers down our throats rather than obtaining residents' opinions. If the results of Cary's last 12 years of biennial survey (i.e. growth is biggest problem) are contradicted by this forum, then we need to raise awareness of the contradictory findings!

Karl, I have the same concern. I am very concerned that this whole thing is just an exercise to make it look like the public wants what Jeff Ulma wants us to want.
We will just have to be forceful and make sure our opinions come through. Posting on this board, which is not controlled by town staff, is one way.
I am very aware that the majority of the residents want no, or at least lower, rate of growth and want to maintain the suburban, low density nature of the town. It is equally obvious that Mr. Ulma holds a different viewpoint.
